SafeHarbour Solutions is a full-service Information Technology and Internet Security consulting firm founded by Anthony S. Harbour in July 2004.  SafeHarbour Solutions was founded after the closure of Harbour and Associates, an Information Technology and Internet Security consulting firm founded by Anthony in 1994, which ceased operations in in December 2004.  During its 10-year history, Harbour and Associates provided IT consulting services and solutions to a variety of small-to-medium sized business (SMB) clients, ranging from a small office of 5 employees to a major healthcare corporation of over 1,600 employees.

SafeHarbour Solutions is a redefined IT consulting firm, combining the experience and expertise gained during the 10-year history of Harbour and Associates with a renewed focus on Internet and Network Security.  Our consultants are degreed, have real-world experience, and possess industry-standard certifications in IT, networking, and security.  Our experience consists of enterprise computing, network integration, Internet and network security management, IT infrastructure planning, server migration, virtual private networking, and managed services.

Management Team

Anthony S. Harbour, Principal

Anthony S. Harbour, BSN, MEd, RN, NREMT-P has had an interest in computers and electronics for most of his life.  He began consulting with clients in 1984 part-time as he completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Anthony was a contract software instructor for The Whitlock Group and taught classes at client sites and at the Whitlock classroom, including an "Introduction to the Internet" class he designed for users new to computers and accessing the Internet.  He served as the Internet and Network Manager for the Virginia Adult Education and Literacy Resource Center (VALERC), a grant-funded program supporting Virginia's adult education and literacy providers.  He left VALERC to pursue consulting full-time in the private sector and he founded Harbour and Associates in 1999 and SafeHarbour Solutions in 2004.  He has completed several Information Technology industry certifications (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Professional - Internet, Symantec Firewall Specialist, Symantec Anti-Virus Product Specialist, and Symantec Enterprise Security Specialist).  He has served as a Technology Consultant for Microsoft for the development of Microsoft Certified Professional exam questions.  He is an active beta tester for several software companies testing the latest versions of software applications. Anthony has a MEd in Adult Education and Human Resource Development.  He actively teaches initial certification classes and continuing education classes for Emergency Medical Services providers.  He has been a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic since 1984 and a Registered Nurse since 2007.  In his spare time, Anthony enjoys amateur radio, astronomy, electronics, photography and science. Anthony manages all aspects of SafeHarbour Solutions and he continues to consult with clients as time permits.
